Loving the environment means more than loving the great outdoors. It means working to preserve it.

Over a decade ago, Subaru became the first U.S. auto manufacturer to become zero-landfill, and now, in collaboration with the National Park Service and the National Parks Conservation Association, Subaru is leveraging that same environmental expertise to help the National Parks reach zero-landfill too.

In a perfect world, hunger would be history and hope would be commonplace. We believe a perfect world is possible.

Love Promise Stories from Jim Doran Subaru

Jim Doran Subaru Cares about Cancer Patients  –  Shannon G

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) is grateful to Jim Doran Subaru who made life a little warmer and brighter for blood cancer patients as part of their “Subaru Loves to Care” commitment to the community. Carrie Schadewitz, Executive Director of the Willamette Valley Cancer Foundation (WVCF), accepted 80 custom Subaru/LLS blankets from Dirk Parker of Jim Doran Subaru that will be delivered with toys to children during the holiday season at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital In Portland and Willamette Valley Medical Center. Blankets will also be shared with cancer patients at the HR Hoover Cancer Center in need of a little comfort during their long days receiving treatment at out-patient clinics. WVCF continually looks for ways to make Quality of Life Matter for the clients they serve. Cancer not only takes a toll on the individual diagnosed with cancer but the family as well and WVCF is there to help shoulder the financial burden created by cancer. At The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, we treasure our partnership with Subaru because it represents what we do both best together – offer comfort and support to blood cancer patients during their cancer journey.

Subaru and NWF Love the Earth!  –  Crystal H

This spring, we've had to opportunity to work with Morgan Parks from National Wildlife Federation. She's helped us create the "Green Team" made up of students from kindergarten to 5th grade, parents and teachers. It has been so fun to get out in the garden, plant the lovely plants that were provided for us through Subaru and NWF and clean up the other areas around the garden. We've created birdhouses, bug boxes and signs for the garden. It has been such a fun experience! Everyday a student comes up to me to ask how they can join the group. The love of taking care of our school and environment is spreading! Next year I'm sure we will have an even larger group of students to help keep our school, garden, community and environment clean and healthy!

Jim Doran Subaru E-Waste Recycle Event  –  Jim D

Jim Doran Subaru is very proud to have partnered with Subaru of America for our 1st ever E-Waste recycling event. Through the month of April we collected approximately 500lb. of electronic waste to be professionally recycled and repurposed. A variety of electronics from computers to TVs were received. Subaru of America and Jim Doran Subaru are committed to being a leader in environmental initiatives while continuing to reduce its own footprint. Being green isn't a trend. It's who we are and what we stand for.
